G F Smith wallpaper exhibition

Packaging Designs by Nexus.

So it's been about 6 weeks now since the Ministry of Design started up! We are all having lots of fun working together and getting some great ideas when brainstorming together! We have just completed our company identity (which will be posted very soon!) and have had great feedback from our mentor Paul suddron at Elmwood design agency in Edinburgh.

Over the past week we have been working on a promotional wallpaper for our agency which is being displayed in our studio in an exhibition for GF Smith. They have come to our college today to give us a presentation about their company. They have also set up an exhibition of lots of their work, which includes work from clients such as Milton Glazer, Paul Rand and Saul Bass.

Tonight we get the chance to mingle with designers, drink wine and promote ourselves and our companies!

Inspirational website

I would promise with all my heart, that I don't sit and analyse the language on every website I visit. But unfortunately, I wouldn't be telling the truth, because sometimes thats exactly what I do.
Every section of this websites written information could provide us with inspiration so if any of you get the time, please have a look. Its really good to see an example (albeit a very silly example) of how humor can be integrated into design.
I find that its nice to munch on a carrot or an apple when reading the website. It helps me connect with their mindset... :P Of course thats just a personal preference.....
Enjoy :) xx
